1. Create a mailing list

The first task after opening an account is to create your very first mailing list.

On Aweber you can create as many mailing lists as you want. To each list you must give a name, a description, your email address and the name you want the emails to be delivered from.

2. Set up a confirmation message

When a visitor first sign up to your mailing list, he will receive a first email where is asked for confirmation.

You want to make 100% sure to have permission from that person.

As a result, the subscriber will be required to confirm by clicking on a link. After the confirmation, Aweber will start sending out the follow up emails you prepared before.

The first thing to do within a confirmation message is to enter a subject line and an “Intro Paragraph”.
